Today’s card starts with a background panel from the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper pack and has some elements added which are created with the Relaxing Waterside Bundle.

The chair, book, coffee mug, and grass were stamped on the light design from the Woodgrain Wonders Designer Series Paper pack with Crumb Cake ink. They were colored with watercolor pencils.

I wanted the chair to look old and weathered so I first crumpled it in my hand and then flattened it out. Next I added some brown pencil lines in some areas to make it look more weathered. Finally, I used a gray pencil and colored in all the slots between the boards and the edges around the chair.

The greeting is stamped directly onto the designer series paper. I figured that if I screwed up I could always stamp on a piece of white paper, die cut it, and layer it over the booboo, lol.

I’m hoping to sit down and play more with the Relaxing Waterside Dies this week. In addition to the outline die for this stamped chair there is also a chair which is only die cut. There are two different shaped backs and some arm rests as well which I have to figure out how to use.
